ST. CATHARINES, Ont. - Eric Locke and Jimmy Lodge each had a goal and two assists as the Saginaw Spirit edged the host Niagara IceDogs 5-4 in Ontario Hockey League action on Saturday night.

Dylan Sadowy scored the game-winner on a deflection 2:52 into the third period for the Spirit (24-20-5), who won for the 9th time in 10 games, while Garrett Ross and Brandon Lindberg added a goal apiece.

Steven Shipley, Carter Verhaeghe, Trevor Petersen and Anthony DiFruscia all connected on for the IceDogs (23-21-4), who are now winless in six games.

Jake Paterson turned aside 33 shots for the win as Chris Festarini made 26 saves in the loss.

Saginaw was 0 for 1 on the power play while Niagara scored three times on six chances with the man advantage.

It's hard to walk into that locker room and look those guys in the eye when they've played -- clearly, that was our best game we've played in the series -- and I thought we deserved a better fate tonight.
