KENNEWICK, Wash. - Elgin Pearce had a goal and an assist as the Medicine Hat Tigers edged the host Tri-City Americans 6-5 on Friday in Western Hockey League action.
Curtis Valk, Logan McVeigh, Boston Leier, Chad Labelle and Trevor Cox also scored for the Tigers (24-23-3) while Cole Sanford, Ty Stanton and Chad Butcher chipped in with two assists each.
Jesse Mychan had two goals and an assist for the Americans (28-18-3) and Justin Feser scored once and added two assists.
Lucas Nickles and Mitch Topping rounded out the scoring for Tri-City.
Marek Langhamer made 27 saves for the win as Luke Lee-Knight stopped 30 shots in a losing cause.
Medicine Hat went 1 for 3 on the power play while Tri-City scored once on four chances with the man advantage.
