Serebryakov stops 24 shots as the Spirit down the Steelheads

MISSISSAUGA, Ont. - Nikita Serebryakov stopped 24 shots as the Saginaw Spirit downed the host Mississauga Steelheads 3-1 on Friday in Ontario Hockey League play.

Jimmy Lodge scored the game-winning goal midway through the second period for the Spirit (23-20-5), who hold the eighth and final play-off spot in the Western Conference, while Brandon Lindberg and Jeremiah Addison also scored.

Craig Hottot scored the lone goal for the Steelheads (21-21-0-4), who have dropped eight of their last 10 outings, and Spencer Martin made 28 saves in a losing cause.

Saginaw went 0 for 6 on the power play while Mississauga scored once on seven chances with the man advantage.
