Robinson scores winner as the Battalion edge the Petes

BRAMPTON, Ont. - Brandon Robinson scored the winning goal at 13:51 of the third period as the Brampton Battalion edged the visiting Peterborough Petes 2-1 on Sunday afternoon in Ontario Hockey League action.

Barclay Goodrow opened the scoring for the Battalion (21-18-7) with a power-play goal at 10:20 of the first period.

Eric Cornel responded for the Petes (13-26-7) late in the second period to tie the game heading into the final 20 minutes.

Brampton went 1 for 2 on the power play while Peterborough failed to score on four chances with the man advantage.

Quote of the Day

I downplayed the first one because I thought it's just a hockey game. We just want to win the game; it's against our rival and we want the two points. I downplayed it, but now having gone through the first one I look back and say, 'Geez, that was really cool.' I think as I've grown a bit older I've got a lot more appreciation for what we're allowed to do every day.
