BRAMPTON, Ont. - Brandon Robinson scored the winning goal at 13:51 of the third period as the Brampton Battalion edged the visiting Peterborough Petes 2-1 on Sunday afternoon in Ontario Hockey League action.
Barclay Goodrow opened the scoring for the Battalion (21-18-7) with a power-play goal at 10:20 of the first period.
Eric Cornel responded for the Petes (13-26-7) late in the second period to tie the game heading into the final 20 minutes.
Matej Machovski stopped 15-of-16 shots for the win as Michael Giugovas made 24 saves in a losing cause.
Brampton went 1 for 2 on the power play while Peterborough failed to score on four chances with the man advantage.
