Stromwall scores winner as the Americans down the Chiefs in OT

SPOKANE, Wash. - Malte Stromwall scored 21 seconds into overtime as the Tri-City Americans edged the host Spokane Chiefs 4-3 on Saturday in Western Hockey League play.

Parker Bowles scored twice for the Americans (27-17-3) and Jesse Mychan added a single goal.

Todd Fiddler, Dylan Walchuk and Carter Proft scored for the Chiefs (28-16-2), who have dropped three straight contests.

Luke Lee-Knight made 39 saves for the win as Eric Williams turned aside 18 shots in a losing cause.

Tri-City went 0 for 2 on the power play while Spokane scored once on three chances with the man advantage.
