EVERETT, Wash. - The Everett Silvertips scored three times in less than five minutes as they went on to defeat the visiting Lethbridge Hurricanes 3-2 on Saturday in Western Hockey League action.
Mitch Skapski, Mirco Mueller and Tyler Sandhu all scored second-period goals for the Silvertips (19-26-2) while Joshua Winquist chipped in with two assists.
Reid Duke and Adam Henry scored for the Hurricanes (22-21-6).
Austin Lotz made 30 saves for the win as Christopher Tai turned away 30-of-33 shots in a losing cause.
Everett went 0 for 5 on the power play while Lethbridge scored once on six chances with the man advantage.
