Jenner with four points as the Generals down the Frontenacs

OSHAWA, Ont. - Boone Jenner had two goals and two assists as the Oshawa Generals downed the visiting Kingston Frontenacs 6-1 on Saturday in Ontario Hockey League play.

Tyler Biggs and Scott Sabourin also scored two goals each for the Generals (25-16-4), who won for the first time in three outings, and Michael Dal Colle chipped in with two assists.

Roland McKeown scored the lone goal for the Frontenacs (20-21-3), who are winless in their last five games.

Oshawa's Ken Appleby made 15 saves for the win as Kingston's Lucas Peressini turned away 32-of-38 shots in his OHL debut.

The Generals went 2 for 3 on the power play while the Frontenacs scored once on six chances with the man advantage.

Quote of the Day

I downplayed the first one because I thought it's just a hockey game. We just want to win the game; it's against our rival and we want the two points. I downplayed it, but now having gone through the first one I look back and say, 'Geez, that was really cool.' I think as I've grown a bit older I've got a lot more appreciation for what we're allowed to do every day.
