Lotz stops 44 shots as the Thunderbirds' winless streak extends to 15 games

EVERETT, Wash. - Austin Lotz stopped 44-of-45 shots as the Everett Silvertips downed the visiting Seattle Thunderbirds 5-1 on Friday in Western Hockey League play.

Kohl Bauml had a goal and two assists for the Silvertips (18-26-2) while Ryan Harrison scored once and set up two more.

Manraj Hayer and Joshua Winquist each had a goal and an assist to round out Everett's offence.

Jerret Smith scored the lone goal for the Thunderbirds (16-26-3), who have now gone 15 games without a victory, and Danny Mumaugh made 18 saves in defeat.

Everett went 2 for 5 on the power play while Seattle failed to score on four chances with the man advantage.

Quote of the Day

After being through it and seeing the other [outdoor] games on TV, just the atmosphere is spectacular. To stand here -- and we are essentially almost on the blue line -- and look up [into the stands] and knowing it is going to be packed and playing our biggest rival in this setting is going to be pretty special.
