Pufahl with a goal and an assist as the Blades beat the Warriors

SASKATOON - Matthew Pufahl had a goal and an assist as the Saskatoon Blades edged the visiting Moose Jaw Warriors 5-4 on Friday in Western Hockey League play.

Erik Benoit, Brenden Walker, Nathan Burns and Lukas Sutter also scored for the Blades (22-20-2), who won for the first time in four games.

Sam Fioretti had two goals and two assists for the Warriors (14-24-8), who are winless in eight games, and Travis Brown and Spencer Morse each scored once.

Andrey Makarov turned away 27-of-31 shots for the win as Daniel Wapple made 36 saves in defeat.

Saskatoon went 1 for 4 on the power play while Moose Jaw scored once on seven chances with the man advantage.
