Pavelka makes 29 saves as the Spitfires down the Generals

OSHAWA, Ont. - Jaroslav Pavelka turned away 29-of-30 shots as the Windsor Spitfires downed the host Oshawa Generals 3-1 on Sunday in Ontario Hockey League play.

Kerby Rychel and Alexander Khokhlachev each had a goal and an assist for the Spitfires (16-19-7), who led 3-0 after 20 minutes of play, and Ben Johnson scored what proved to be the eventual game winner.

Scott Sabourin scored the lone goal for the Generals (24-16-3), who lost for the first time in three outings, and Daniel Altshuller stopped 22 shots in a losing cause.

Windsor went 1 for 1 on the power play while Oshawa failed to score on three chances with the man advantage.

Quote of the Day

Your team is going to want to recapture the feeling. What they're going to have to figure out is they're going to have to rewrite the story. Because you're going to rewrite the story doesn't mean you want a different end. It's just that you're going to have to learn that there's different challenges to get there, and if you're going to try and tap the same feeling, it ain't going to happen.
