On Jan. 20, NBC will air the Flyers' visit to Buffalo, beginning at 12:30 ET. The NBC Sports Network begins its season Sunday night with its telecast of the Blackhawks' visit to the Phoenix Coyotes at 10 p.m. ET. NBC Sports Network's opening-week coverage continues with a game on three consecutive nights from Monday through Wednesday.

NBCSN's exclusive Wednesday night coverage this season will feature some of the biggest rivalries in the NHL, including Bruins-Canadiens and Flyers-Penguins. The network will air exclusive coverage Wednesday nights, giving NHL fans four straight nights of hockey action from Sunday through Wednesday.

Coverage begins at noon ET on NBC with NHL Live, followed by NBC's telecasts of Pittsburgh at Buffalo at 12:30 p.m. ET and Los Angeles at Chicago at 3:30 p.m. ET. NBCSN will air the final game of the celebration, a meeting between the Washington Capitals and New York Rangers at 6 p.m. ET.

Quote of the Day

We're buyers. We're committed to winning. That's what [owner Vinnie Viola] has said all along and what we've said all along. We want to win. We want to win a championship. We're putting the pieces together, step by step, and we're hopeful that Jaromir can lead these young guys to the promised land. It's a win-win for us.
