SPOKANE, Wash. - Mitch Holmberg scored two goals and assisted on one more as the Spokane Chiefs doubled up the visiting Kootenay Ice 4-2 on Saturday in Western Hockey League action.
Brenden Kichton had a goal and two assists for the Chiefs (28-14-1) while Dylan Walchuk added a single goal.
Luke Philp and Jaedon Descheneau scored for the Ice (17-25-1), who had their seven-game win streak halted.
Only three minor penalties were handed out all game. Spokane went 1 for 1 on the power play while Kootenay failed to earn any chances with the man advantage.
