Zarowny 44 saves as the Cougars blank the Blazers

PRINCE GEORGE, B.C. - Brett Zarowny stopped all 44 shots he faced as the Prince George Cougars blanked the visiting Kamloops Blazers 1-0 on Friday in Western Hockey League action.

Jordan Tkatch scored the winning goal at 12:15 of the second period for the Cougars (13-24-5), who ended a seven-game winless streak with the victory.

Cole Cheveldave stopped 19-of-20 shots for the Blazers (28-12-4), who have now won just four of their last 10 games and have fallen four points behind the Kelowna Rockets for first in the B.C. Division.

Prince George failed to earn any power-play chances while Kamloops went 0 for 3 with the man advantage.
