They started as the ultimate underdog in the ultra-competitive Western Conference. When it was all said and done, the Los Angeles Kings were hoisting the Stanley Cup.

LORD STANLEY'S SUMMER: Kopitar, Nolan, Westgarth & Sutter

(Sunday, 5 p.m ET)

The Kings' Summer with Stanley started on a historical note when the Cup made its first visit to Slovenia. After a celebratory stop with star center Anze Kopitar, the Cup made its way to Canada, where it ultimately landed in the hands of coach Darryl Sutter.

It was at his family farm in Viking, Alberta, that Sutter shared the game's ultimate prize with hockey's first family. From Slovenia to Viking, it was just the beginning of an exciting summer for the Stanley Cup.

LORD STANLEY'S SUMMER: Stoll, Mitchell, Penner & Williams

(Sunday, 5:30 p.m. ET)

After more than a decade playing in the National Hockey League, veteran defenseman Willie Mitchell brought the Cup to remote Port McNeill, British Columbia, where he included it in a First Nation ceremony and a helicopter drop onto the top of a mountain.

Days later, Jarret Stoll gave back to his quiet hometown of Yorkton, Saskatchewan before Dustin Penner enjoyed a day with the Cup for the second time in five years. Throw in Justin William's trip to Atlantic City and it was shaping up to be quite a summer for Lord Stanley.

LORD STANLEY'S SUMMER: Brown, Doughty & Carter

(Sunday, 6 p.m. ET)

Captain Dustin Brown finally got his day with the Cup, making sure to share it with countless friends and family in his hometown of Ithaca, N.Y. From there, two of L.A.'s most exciting players -- Drew Doughty and Jeff Carter -- shared custody over a couple of days in London, Ontario.

These were just some of the final stops in a memorable summer for hockey's Holy Grail.
