SAGINAW, Mich. - Eric Locke scored twice, including the game winner, as the Saginaw Spirit edged the visiting Erie Otters 4-3 on Friday in Ontario Hockey League action.
Locke's second goal of the game came shorthanded at 7:26 of the third period and gave Saginaw a 4-2 lead.
Garret Ross scored once and set up two more for the Spirit (19-19-5), who extended their win streak to four games, while Jeremiah Addison scored the other.
J.P. Labardo, Luke Cairns and Dane Fox scored for the Otters (14-22-6), who lost in regulation time for the first time in four outings.
Jake Paterson made 30 saves for the win as Devin Williams stopped 41-of-45 shots in a losing cause.
Saginaw went 0 for 2 on the power play while Erie failed to score on five chances with the man advantage.
