Mistele scores twice as the Whalers double up the Battalion

PLYMOUTH, Mich. - Matthew Mistele scored two goals as the Plymouth Whalers doubled up the visiting Brampton Battalion 4-2 on Friday in Ontario Hockey League play.

Tom Wilson and Ryan Hartman each had a goal and an assist for the Whalers (20-13-8) while Vincent Trocheck chipped in with two assists in his Plymouth debut.

Brandon Robinson and Brenden Milled scored for the Battalion (19-18-7), who are winless in their last four outings.

Matt Mahalak made 32 saves for the win as Matej Machovsky stopped 40-of-44 shots in a losing cause.

Plymouth went 1 for 5 on the power play while Brampton failed to score on three chances with the man advantage.

Quote of the Day

Because of the way they play and their skill set I don't think they're fourth-line players, so in my mind I'm looking at one of those guys I'll have to move over to the wing.
