SEATTLE - Liam Stewart's third-period goal stood as the winner as the Spokane Chiefs slipped past the Seattle Thunderbirds 4-3 on Tuesday in Western Hockey League play.
Captain Brenden Kichton, Mike Aviani and Collin Valcourt rounded out the offence for Spokane (26-13-1), while Eric Williams made 27 saves for the win.
Branden Troock had a goal and an assist as Seattle (16-22-3) lost its 11th game in a row. Mitch Elliot and Shea Theodore also scored. Brandon Glover stopped 33 shots for the Thunderbirds.
Kichton scored on one of the Chiefs four power plays, while Seattle went 0 for 4 with the man advantage.
Theodore and Elliot replied to give Seattle a 2-1 lead. Valcourt evened the score before Troock put Seattle back on top at 3-2.
Aviani scored with 53 seconds left in the second period to tie it 3-3 and Stewart had the only goal in the third period to give Spokane the win.
