LONDON, Ont. - Jake Patterson turned aside 40-of-42 shots as the London Knights held on to beat the visiting Kitchener Rangers 3-2 on Saturday in Ontario Hockey League play.
Matt Rupert and Ryan Rupert each had a goal and an assist for the Knights (34-5-3), who led 3-0 before Kitchener finally got on the board late in the second period, and Josh Anderson scored once.
Eric Ming and Justin Bailey scored for the Rangers (21-13-5), who lost for the first time in three outings.
Franky Palazzese, who started his sixth straight game for Kitchener, made 41 saves in a losing cause.
Both clubs went 0 for 3 on the power play.
