KITCHENER, Ont. - Brent Pederson, Keli Grant and Eric Ming all scored in the shootout as the Kitchener Rangers edged the visiting Peterborough Petes 4-3 on Friday in Ontario Hockey League play.
Nick Czinder and Ben Thomson each had a goal and an assist in regulation time for the Rangers (21-12-5), who ended a five-game winless streak on home ice, and Darcy Llewellyn added a single goal.
Jonatan Tanus scored twice for the Petes (11-24-5), who lost for the first time in three outings, and Stephen Pierog had the other.
Franky Palazzese made 45 saves for the win as Andrew D'Agostini also turned aside 45 shots in a losing cause.
Both clubs went 1 for 5 on the power play.
