MISSISSAUGA, Ont. - Dylan Smoskowitz scored a pair of goals to lead Mississauga Steelheads to a 5-2 victory over the visiting Niagara IceDogs in Friday's Ontario Hockey League tilt at the Hershey Centre.
Ryan Duhaime scored his first OHL goal for the Steelheads (20-14-3) while Brett Foy and Alex Cord also scored.
Steven Shipley and Aaron Haydon each found the scoresheet for the IceDogs (22-16-2).
Mississauga's Tyson Teichmann made 18 saves for the win while Christopher Festarini stopped 34 shots in a losing cause for Niagara.
The Steelheads went 1 for 4 on the power play while the IceDogs finished 0 for 2 on the man advantage.
There's no discouragement in that room. There's no issues there at all to be honest with you. It's more about, 'Hey, it's opportunities for players.' And if we become that bad of a team because of one player, it's not a real good sign for our hockey club. So this is part of sports. It's part of hockey.
