EVERETT, Wash. - Joshua Winquist scored twice, including 1:56 into overtime, as the Everett Silvertips slipped past the visiting Seattle Thunderbirds 2-1 on Saturday in Western Hockey League action.

Austin Lotz stopped 34-of-35 shots for the Silvertips (15-22-2), which earned him the game's second star behind Winquist.

Seth Swenson scored the lone goal for the Thunderbirds (16-18-3), who are now winless in seven straight outings, and Brandon Glover turned away 28 shots in a losing cause.

Everett went 0 for 3 on the power play while Seattle failed to score on six chances with the man advantage.
