Ross, Locke three points apiece as the Spirit crush the Spitfires

SAGINAW, Mich. - Garret Ross and Eric Locke each had two goals and an assist as the Saginaw Spirit crushed the visiting Windsor Spitfires 8-3 on Saturday in Ontario Hockey League play.

Nick Moutrey also scored twice for the Spirit (15-17-5) while Jimmy Lodge had a goal and three assists.

Jeremiah Addison added a goal and an assist to round out Saginaw's offence.

Trevor Murphy, Kerby Rychel and Ben Johnson scored for the Spitfires (14-17-6), who are winless in five games.

Nikita Serebryakov stopped 41 shots for the win as Jaroslav Pavelka allowed five goals on 30 shots before being relieved by Jordan DeKort, who stopped 10-of-13 shots in relief.

Saginaw went 1 for 3 on the power play while Windsor failed to score on either of its chances with the man advantage.
