Niederberger 37 saves as the Colts down the Rangers 4-1

KITCHENER, Ont. - Mathias Niederberger stopped 37-of-38 shots as the Barrie Colts downed the host Kitchener Rangers 4-1 on Friday in Ontario Hockey League play.

Steven Beyers, Josh MacDonald, Justin Scott and Andreas Athanasiou scored for the Colts (24-9-1), who have won three games in a row.

Eric Ming scored the lone goal for the Rangers (19-11-5), who are now winless in three straight outings, and Franky Palazzese made 24 saves in a losing cause.

Barrie went 0 for 1 on the power play while Kitchener went 0 for 2.
