Calvin Pickard perfect in Lake Erie Monsters 4-0 win over Hamilton Bulldogs

CLEVELAND - Calvin Pickard made 17 saves as the Lake Erie Monsters blanked the Hamilton Bulldogs 4-0 on Saturday in American Hockey League action.

Stefan Elliott had a pair of goals for Lake Erie (15-14-3), while Bill Thomas and Mark Olver added singles.

Cedrick Desjardins stopped 37 of 41 shots in net for Hamilton (11-15-3). Robert Mayer stopped all six shots he faced in 11:26 of relief work.

Desjardins also stopped a penalty shot by Thomas.

The Monsters went 2 for 7 on the power play, while the Bulldogs couldn't score on their three man advantages.
