DRUMMONDVILLE, Que. - Jeremie Malouin was dominant on Saturday.
Malouin had a natural hat trick in the third period in a four-goal performance as the Drummondville Voltigeurs sank the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada 5-2 in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.
The 20-year-old left-winger scored the Voltigeurs (22-14-1) first goal of the game late in the second period. He then scored at the 12:25 mark of the third, again at the 14:44 mark and then put the puck into an empty net with just over a minute left to play.
Malouin's outburst takes his goal output up to 21 this season.
Jerome Verrier also scored for Drummondville, while Louis-Philip Guindon made 23 saves for the win.
Pier-Olivier GrandMaison and Tommy Giroux replied for the Armada (22-10-4). Alexandre Veronneau stopped 26 of 30 shots for Blainville-Boisbriand.
The Voltigeurs scored once on six power-play chances and the Armada went 0 for 5 with the man advantage.
