Schumaker and Cousins lead Greyhounds to 4-1 win over Spitfires

SAULT STE. MARIE, Ont. - Michael Schumacher and Nick Cousins both scored and had two assists as the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds downed the Windsor Spitfires 4-1 on Sunday in Ontario Hockey League play.

Jared McCann and David Broll also scored for Sault Ste. Marie (17-16-2), while Matt Murray made 19 saves.

Brady Vail was the lone scorer for Windsor (14-15-6), as Jaroslav Pavelka stopped 35 shots.

The Greyhounds went 2 for 5 on the power play, while the Spitfires scored once on four man advantages.

Things got out of hand in the third period, with several roughing and fighting penalties doled out by officials. Windsor finished the game with 30 minutes in penalties, while Sault Ste. Marie had 26 minutes.
