Rimmer stops 29 shots as the Hurricanes double up the Blazers

LETHBRIDGE, Alta. - Ty Rimmer turned aside 29 shots as the Lethbridge Hurricanes doubled up the visiting Kamloops Blazers 4-2 on Friday in Western Hockey League play.

Sam Mckechnie, Brady Ramsay, Craig Leverton and Jaimen Yakubowski scored for the Hurricanes (17-15-5).

Chase Souto and Aspen Sterzer scored for the Blazers (25-9-3), who have dropped back-to-back games, while Taran Kozun made 31 saves in a losing cause.

Lethbridge went 3 for 10 on the power play as Kamloops scored once on three chances with the man advantage.

Quote of the Day

I downplayed the first one because I thought it's just a hockey game. We just want to win the game; it's against our rival and we want the two points. I downplayed it, but now having gone through the first one I look back and say, 'Geez, that was really cool.' I think as I've grown a bit older I've got a lot more appreciation for what we're allowed to do every day.
