Nicholls and McColgan three points apiece as the Blades beat the Broncos

SASKATOON - Josh Nicholls scored twice and set up one more as the Saskatoon Blades edged the visiting Swift Current Broncos 4-3 on Friday in Western Hockey League action.

Shane McColgan had a goal and two assists for the Blades (18-14-1), who have won five games in a row, while Matej Stransky scored once.

Coda Gordon and Adam Lowry each had a goal and an assist for the Broncos (14-17-5) and Reece Scarlett added a single goal.

Alex Moodie made 30 saves for the win as Steven Myland stopped 23 shots in a losing cause.

Saskatoon went 0 for 2 on the power play while Swift Current went 0 for 4.
