BARRIE, Ont. - Scott Laughton had a goal and two assists as the Oshawa Generals knocked off the Barrie Colts 3-1 in Ontario Hockey League action Thursday night.
Chris Carlisle and Scott Sabourin scored for Oshawa (18-12-3), which has now won four of its last five road games. Michael Dal Colle had a pair of assists for the Generals.
Erik Bradford replied for Barrie (21-9-1), which was without the services of top scorers Mark Scheifele and Anthony Camara, both of whom made Canada's junior national team earlier Thursday. Andreas Athanasiou picked up a helper to bring his assist streak to five games.
The Generals were able to strike on the man advantage, going 1 for 5 on the power play. Barrie finished the night at 0 for 1.
Daniel Altshuller made 26 saves for the win.
Colts goaltender Mathias Niederberger turned aside 38 shots in defeat.
