MOOSE JAW, Sask. - Morgan Rielly scored the winning goal early in the third period and added an assist as the Moose Jaw Warriors edged the visiting Spokane Chiefs 4-3 on Saturday in Western Hockey League action.
Brayden Point also had a goal and an assist for the Warriors (12-14-7), who won for the first time in three outings, while Jordan Messier and Miles Warkentine scored a goal apiece.
For Warkentine, a 16-year-old rookie, it was his first-career WHL goal.
Carter Proft, Mitch Holmberg and Reid Gow scored for the Chiefs (22-8-1), who lost in regulation for the first time in 10 games.
Justin Paulic made 29 saves for the win as Eric Williams stopped 15-of-19 shots in a losing cause.
Moose Jaw went 0 for 4 on the power play while Spokane went 0 for 1.
