BARRIE, Ont. - Andreas Athanasiou scored two goals and an assist as the Barrie Colts downed the visiting Kingston Frontenacs 6-2 in Ontario Hockey League action on Saturday.
Ryan O'Connor and Anthony Camara each had a goal and two assists for the Colts (21-8-1), while Mark Scheifele chipped in with three assists.
O'Connor now has 12 goals in his last 13 games and 14 in total, which leads all OHL defencemen.
Steven Beyers and Brendan Perlini scored a goal each to round out Barrie's offence.
For Perlini, it was his first-career OHL goal.
Henri Ikonen and Roland McKeown scored for the Frontenacs (16-14-1), who lost its third straight road contest.
Mathias Niederberger turned aside 29 shots for the win as Colin Furlong picked up the loss after allowing three goals on 11 shots before being lifted in favour of Mike Morrison, who stopped 21 of the final 24 attempts.
Barrie went 2 for 5 on the power play while Kingston finished the night 1 for 4.
