Glover makes 33 saves as the Thunderbirds beat the Silvertips

EVERETT, Wash. - Brandon Glover made 33 saves to lead the Seattle Thunderbirds to a 5-1 victory over the host Everett Silvertips on Friday night in Western Hockey League action.

Glover came within 6.7 seconds of recording his first shutout of the season when Seattle defenseman Jesse Forsberg redirected a centering feed into his own net.

Roberts Lipsbergs, Seth Swenson, Mitch Elliot, Riley Sheen and Brendan Rouse scored goals for Seattle (16-13-1), which won its fourth straight.

Lipsbergs' has now scored in 10 of his last 11 outings.

Tyler Sandhu was credited with the goal for Everett (11-20-2), which dropped its third game in a row, while Daniel Cotton made 20 saves in a losing cause.

The Thunderbirds failed to score on five chances with the man advantage while the Silvertips went 1 for 4.
