ST. CATHARINES, Ont. - Steven Shipley had four points and Chris Festarini made 27 saves as the Niagara IceDogs hammered the Ottawa 67's 9-0 in Ontario Hockey League action Thursday night.
Shipley had one goal and three assists, while Festarini made nine saves in each period to record his third shutout of the season.
The OHL's leading scorer Ryan Strome added three points on two goals and one assist as Niagara improved to (19-10-2) overall.
Broderick Kelly, Ondrej Kopta, Anthony DiFruscia, Trevor Peterson, Dougie Hamilton and Brett Ritchie, with this team-leading 25th of the season, rounded out the IceDogs' scoring.
Clint Windsor got the start in goal for Ottawa (7-21-3) and was pulled after allowing six goals on 29 shots. Jacob Blair gave up three goals on 18 shots the rest of the way.
Niagara went 2 for 4 on the power play while the 67's failed to score on two chances with the man advantage.
