Verret scored with 32 seconds left in the third period to give Sherbrooke a 4-3 win over the Rimouski Oceanic on Thursday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.

Jeremy Beaudry had back-to-back goals in the third as the Phoenix (7-19-3) scored three unanswered goals.

Simon Desbiens scored in the first period to give Sherbrooke a 1-0 lead.

Michael Joly and Scott Oke replied for Rimouski (17-10-4) with short-handed goals to end the first.

Oke then added another goal in the second, giving the Oceanic a 3-1 lead headed into the final period.

Quote of the Day

The groove of being behind a bench is going to be interesting at first, but thank God we have a few exhibition games to get rid of those cobwebs. Overall the excitement of it all and the freshness and coming back refreshed, all those things are going to be assets. If [the players] come ready to give their best effort in practice and games, good things are going to happen. I'm always looking for results. It's not always on the scoreboard. It's winning and building something.
