QMJHL Roundup: Verret caps Phoenix's 4-3 rally with 32 seconds left to play

Anthony Verret capped the Sherbrooke Phoenix's rally with just over half a minute to spare.

Verret scored with 32 seconds left in the third period to give Sherbrooke a 4-3 win over the Rimouski Oceanic on Thursday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.

Jeremy Beaudry had back-to-back goals in the third as the Phoenix (7-19-3) scored three unanswered goals.

Simon Desbiens scored in the first period to give Sherbrooke a 1-0 lead.

Michael Joly and Scott Oke replied for Rimouski (17-10-4) with short-handed goals to end the first.

Oke then added another goal in the second, giving the Oceanic a 3-1 lead headed into the final period.

Jacob Gervais-Chouinard made 29 saves for the win, while Philippe Desrosiers stopped 28 for Rimouski.
