Joseph Cramarossa scores in overtime as Bulls down Petes 3-2

BELLEVILLE, Ont. - Joseph Cramarossa scored in overtime and added two assists in regulation Wednesday as the Belleville Bulls defeated the Peterborough Petes 3-2 in the Ontario Hockey League.

On the winner, Cramarossa cut to the slot and wristed a shot five-hole past Petes goalie Andrew D'Agostini two minutes into the extra period.

Aaron Berisha and Jordan Subban scored in regulation for Belleville (16-9-4), while Nick Ritchie and Francis Menard replied for Peterborough (6-20-4).

Malcolm Subban made 22 saves to get the win for Belleville. D'Agostini stopped 31 shots in defeat.

Belleville had a number of quality chances on D'Agostini in the first two periods before Berisha converted on a perfect tic-tac-toe play with 24 seconds left in the second.

Both teams opened things up in the third, with Ritchie finishing off a hard-working shift by the Petes to tie things up.

Jordan Subban fired a wrist shot from the slot to give Belleville the lead, but Menard's goal from the doorstep for Peterborough forced overtime.

Quote of the Day

What we expected is what we got. Very mature young individual that's focused. He is on the right track. He's not only a great hockey individual, but he's a good person off the ice. He seemed to take a leadership role with this group right off the hop and ran away with it, and was vocal, was respectful, was everything it takes to be a Panther. His future looks bright.
