OSHAWA, Ont. - JP Anderson turned away 40-of-42 shots as the Sarnia Sting edged the host Oshawa Generals 3-2 on Sunday in Ontario Hockey League play.

Alex Galchenyuk, Alex Carnevale and Nikolay Goldobin each scored for the Sting (16-11-2), who have won four games in a row.

Boone Jenner had a goal and an assist for the Generals (16-11-3), who lost for the first time in five outings, and Scott Sabourin scored the other.

Ken Appleby allowed two goals on the first four shots he faced and was pulled just eight minutes into the game. Daniel Altshuller picked up the loss after stopping 11-of-12 shots in 51 minutes of relief.

Sarnia went 2 for 5 on the power play while Oshawa scored once on seven chances with the man advantage.

For me, it's a great win for our hockey team and for a lot of people back in Columbus, especially our fans in particular … people who have been devoted to this organization, it's big.
