Four Greyhounds record multi-point game in win over the Otters

SAULT STE. MARIE, Ont. - The Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds received goals from six different players on Friday night as they beat the visiting Erie Otters 6-4 in Ontario Hockey League play.

Colin Miller, Brandon Alderson, Darnell Nurse and Nick Cousins had a goal and an assist each for the Greyhounds (13-13-2) while Nick Halagian and Jared McCann scored a goal apiece.

Connor McDavid, Kyle Pettit, Jake Evans and Jimmy McDowell scored for the Otters (7-16-5), who are winless in five outings.

Pettit's goal was his first as a member of the OHL.

Justin Nichols stopped 26 shots for the win as Oscar Dansk stopped 48 shots in a losing cause.

Sault Ste. Marie went 2-for-5 on the power play while Erie went 1-for-2.

The game also marked the debut of Kris Knoblauch behind the bench for Erie after taking over for Robbie Ftorek, who was relieved by the Otters on Thursday.

Yeah, we blew 3-2 series leads the last two years, but no one is going remember that if we go out there on Saturday night and beat these guys and go play in the Stanley Cup Final.
