MISSISSAUGA, Ont. - Ryan Strome scored two goals and added two assists to lead the Niagara IceDogs to a 6-4 victory over the host Mississauga Steelheads on Friday in Ontario Hockey League action.
The 19-year-old forward now has 18 goals and 56 points in 29 games, which leads the OHL in scoring.
Mitchell Theoret, Carter Verhaeghe, Brett Ritchie and Steven Shipley also scored for the IceDogs (18-9-2), who held a 4-0 lead after the first period, while Shayne Rover finished with two assists.
Dylan Smoskowitz scored two goals and an assist, Trevor Carrick had a goal and an assist and Kristoff Kontos also scored for the Steelheads (17-9-1).
Brent Moran made 27 saves for the win as Spencer Martin stopped 50-of-55 shots in a losing cause.
Niagara went 1-for-2 on the power play while Mississauga finished 1-for-5.
