Carter Rigby scores hat trick as Kelowna Rockets rout Everett Silvertips 8-2

EVERETT, Wash. - Carter Rigby scored a hat trick as the Kelowna Rockets dominated the Everett Silvertips 8-2 on Sunday evening in Western Hockey League action.

The goals were Rigby's first of the season, while Zach Franko, Ryan Olsen, Madison Bowey, Colton Heffley and Myles Bell also scored for Kelowna (15-8-2).

Jackson Whistle earned the win in goal with 22 saves.

Tyler Sandhu and Dawson Leedahl, with his first-career WHL goal, scored for Everett (10-16-2).

Everett goaltender Austin Lotz stopped 28-of-34 shots before being pulled early in the third period. Daniel Cotton stopped five of seven in relief.

The dominating performance was Kelowna's second in two nights after the Rockets ripped the Saskatoon Blades 9-2 on Saturday, and capped a three-in-three weekend sweep
