Billy Jenkins and Mike Morrison lead Frontenacs past Spitfires 4-3

WINDSOR, Ont. - Billy Jenkins scored twice and Mike Morrison made 40 saves as the Kingston Frontenacs edged the Windsor Spitfires 4-3 on Sunday in Ontario Hockey League action.

Henri Ikonen and Darcy Greenaway scored the other goals for Kingston (14-11-0).

Nick Ebert scored two for the Spitfires (10-11-5), while Kerby Rychel added a goal of his own.

With the game deadlocked at 1-1 after 20 minutes of play, the Frontenacs scored three goals in the second. Jenkins' pair of goals sandwiched Greenaway's team-leading 15th of the season.

Ebert scored his third and fourth goals of the season in the third period but the Spitfires could not find the equalizer.

Ebert's first goal of the game came on a Windsor power play, ending an 0-for-16 Spitfire drought while playing with the man advantage.

Jordan Dekort made 33 saves for the Spitfires.

Quote of the Day

I don't have a crystal ball. Predicting is a real complicated thing. If we stay healthy, have enough depth and get the good goaltending we think we're going to have, you can go all the way. But a lot of things have to happen. There's going to be a lot of teams that think the same thing. Everyone made deals. We're all are optimistic about where we'll end up.
