QMJHL Roundup: A look at Wednesday's games

Martin Frk had a goal and an assist as the Halifax Mooseheads downed the visiting Baie-Comeau Drakkar 6-2 on Wednesday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League play.

The two points earned the 19-year-old winger the game's first star and extended his points streak to 10 games, which includes eight goals and 12 assists.

Stefan Fournier scored twice and added an assist for the Mooseheads (20-2-1), who have won three straight games, while Nathan MacKinnon and Jonathan Drouin each had three assists.

MacKinnon has one goal and eight points in his last four contests and Drouin has four goals and 14 points in his last five games.

Konrad Abeltshauser chipped in with two assists while Randy Gazzola, Andrew Ryan and Max Lindsay each scored once to round out Halifax's offence.

Raphael Bussieres scored once for the Drakkar (16-5-3), which gives him eight goals and 18 points during a seven-game goal scoring streak, and Gabryel Paquin-Boudreau had the other.

Zachary Fucale made 24 saves for the win as Philippe Cadorette picked up the loss after allowing six goals on 26 shots through 45 minutes. Simon Lemieux came in for the final 15 minutes and stopped all three shots he faced.

Halifax went 3-for-4 on the power play, which gives them a league-high 34 goals with the man advantage, while Baie-Comeau failed to score on three power-play chances.

The loss was Baie-Comeau's first in regulation time in 16 games after going 12-0-3 in the last 15 outings. Halifax is the first club in the QMJHL to reach 20 wins.

Gazzola tied the game at 6:05 and with less than two minutes remaining in the period Ryan put Halifax up 2-1.

Lindsay extended his club's lead at 10:39 of the second period and Frk scored on the power play at 18:12 to put the Mooseheads up 4-1 after 40 minutes of play.

Fournier scored back-to-back power-play goals less than six minutes into the third period before Paquin-Boudreau added a late goal for Baie-Comeau.
