Chris Driedger stops 42 as Calgary Hitmen edges Lethbridge Hurricanes 3-2

LETHBRIDGE, Alta. - Chris Driedger made 42 saves as the Calgary Hitmen edged the Lethbridge Hurricanes 3-2 in Western Hockey League play Tuesday.

Greg Chase, Alex Roach and Carson Samoridny each scored for Calgary (15-5-3), which stayed atop the Central Division.

Ryan Pilon and Jay Merkley replied for Lethbridge (13-11-2), which capitalized on just one of eight power-play opportunities.

Hurricanes goaltender Ty Rimmer meanwhile finished the night with 17 saves.

Quote of the Day

I think everybody wanted the puck tonight. Everybody wanted to be part of the solution and it reflected on the way we played. It's tiring when you have to chase the puck but tonight was one of those nights where everyone really wanted to make a play and wanted to have an impact on the game.
