CRANBROOK, B.C. - Mackenzie Skapski stopped all 31 shots he faced as the Kootenay Ice blanked the visiting Brandon Wheat Kings 4-0 on Saturday in Western Hockey League action.

Sam Reinhart scored twice for the Ice (7-12-1), who have picked up three straight victories, and Luke Philip and Zach McPhee each scored once.

Curtis Honey stopped 28-of-32 shots for the Wheat Kings (9-11-3), who have now dropped four games in a row.

Kootenay went 1-for-4 on the power play while Brandon failed to score on six chances with the man advantage.

Playing for my favorite team growing up, I've probably scored that goal a million times in my driveway. It feels good to actually do it in real life.

— Dale Weise, who grew up a Canadiens fan, on scoring the overtime winner in Montreal's 5-4 victory against Tampa Bay in Game 1
