Liberati scores winner as the Knights beat the Attack 5-2

LONDON, Ont. - A power-play goal by Miles Liberati 2:41 into the third period stood up as the winner as the London Knights beat the visiting Owen Sound Attack 5-2 on Friday in Ontario Hockey League play.

Seth Griffith had one goal and two assists for the Knights (15-5-2), who have won seven games in a row, which extends his points streak to nine games and includes six goals and 20 points.

Brett Welychka, Alex Broadhurst and Matt Rupert rounded out the offence for London.

Zach Nastasiuk and Gemel Smith responded for the Attack (14-4-3) while Daniel Catenacci chipped in two assists.

Jake Patterson stopped 28-of-30 shots for the win as Jordan Binnington made 25 saves in a losing cause.

Both clubs were 1-for-3 on the powerplay.

With the win London moves into first place in the OHL Western Conference, one point up on the Attack.
