Laurikainen stops 23 shots as the Broncos down the Raiders 4-1

SWIFT CURRENT, Sask. - Eetu Laurikainen stopped 23-of-24 shots as the Swift Current Broncos downed the visiting Prince Albert Raiders 4-1 on Saturday in Western Hockey League play.

Graham Black and Ryon Moser each had a goal and an assist for the Broncos (8-9-5) as Adam Lowry and Coda Gordon scored a goal apiece.

Sawyer Lange scored the lone goal for the Raiders (13-6-2).

Luke Siemens turned away 43 shots in a losing cause.

Swift Current went 3-for-5 on the power play while Prince Albert failed to score on four chances with the man advantage.

Quote of the Day

I downplayed the first one because I thought it's just a hockey game. We just want to win the game; it's against our rival and we want the two points. I downplayed it, but now having gone through the first one I look back and say, 'Geez, that was really cool.' I think as I've grown a bit older I've got a lot more appreciation for what we're allowed to do every day.
