SPOKANE, Wash. - Garret Hughson made 22 saves as the Spokane Chiefs shut out the Everett Silvertips 4-0 in Western Hockey League play Tuesday.
Mikulas Rimmel, Connor Chartier, Dylan Walchuk, with a short-handed goal, and Adam Helewka each scored for the Chiefs (13-6-0), who had three goals in the third period.
Spokane failed to capitalize on six power-play opportunities, while Everett (6-12-2) went scoreless on only two power plays.
Silvertips goaltender Daniel Cotton stopped 31 shots in the loss.
