QMJHL Roundup: A look at Wednesday's games

Sven Andrighetto had two goals and an assist Wednesday as the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies defeated the Sherbrooke Phoenix 6-3 in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.

Jean-Sebastien Dea and Mathieu Brisebois each added a goal and an assist for the Huskies (13-3-1), while Cody Donaghey and Mathieu Lemay also scored.

Denis Kamaev added two assists for Rouyn-Noranda, which got 23 saves from Alexandre Belanger.

Elsewhere in the QMJHL it was: Blainville-Boisbriand 2, Saint John 1; and Acadie-Bathurst 3, Moncton 2.

At Rouyn-Noranda, Que., Anthony Verret had a goal and an assist for Sherbrooke (3-13-2), while Cole Hawes and Daniel Audette also scored.

Jack Flinn made 21 saves in taking the loss.

The teams were tied 3-3 after two periods but the Huskies pulled away midway through the third.

Briseboise gave the Rouyn-Noranda the lead at 11:16, Andrighetto made it 5-3 at 14:20 and Lemay rounded out the scoring at 17:07.

Sherbrooke finished the night 1-for-5 on the power play, while Rouyn-Noranda wound up 0-for-6.

Armada 2, Sea Dogs 1

At Saint John, N.B., Etienne Marcoux made 28 saves as Blainville-Boisbriand (12-3-2) got past the Sea Dogs (8-8-0).

Titan 3, Wildcats 2

At Bathurst, N.B., Jacob Brennan stopped 37-of-39 shots as the Titan (7-7-4) edged Moncton (9-8-0).
