Honey scores twice as the Thunderbirds beat the Silvertips 3-2

EVERETT, Wash. - Connor Honey scored twice, including the game winner, as the Seattle Thunderbirds edged the host Everett Silvertips 3-2 on Saturday in Western Hockey League play.

Alexander Delnov also scored for the Thunderbirds (7-5-0), who have won back-to-back contests.

Reid Petryk and Tyler Sandhu scored for the Silvertips (6-8-1), who fell one point behind Seattle and sit last in the U.S. Division.

Justin Myles stopped 27 shots for the win as Austin Lotz made 16 saves in a losing cause.

Seattle went 1-for-3 on the power play while Everett failed to score on four chances with the man advantage.
