PETERBOROUGH, Ont. - Michael Giugovaz stopped 35-of-36 shots as the Peterborough Petes downed the visiting Saginaw Spirit 3-1 on Saturday in Ontario Hockey League play.
Francis Menard had a goal and an assist for the Petes (3-7-3) and Jonatan Tanus and Brett Findlay scored a goal apiece.
Nick Moutrey scored the lone goal for the Spirit (5-8-2).
Nikita Serebryakov made 47 saves in a losing effort.
Peterborough went 1-for-2 on the power play while Saginaw failed to score on either of its chances with the man advantage.
