PETERBOROUGH, Ont. - Michael Giugovaz stopped 35-of-36 shots as the Peterborough Petes downed the visiting Saginaw Spirit 3-1 on Saturday in Ontario Hockey League play.

Francis Menard had a goal and an assist for the Petes (3-7-3) and Jonatan Tanus and Brett Findlay scored a goal apiece.

Nick Moutrey scored the lone goal for the Spirit (5-8-2).

Nikita Serebryakov made 47 saves in a losing effort.

Peterborough went 1-for-2 on the power play while Saginaw failed to score on either of its chances with the man advantage.

I've been getting frustrated lately, and the only thing keeping me sane was the team winning and other people stepping up and scoring. Then you just kind of let it go and realize you can end the series with one shot, that frustration goes away for a brief moment, and that's what happened.
