Hall scores three times as the Colts down the IceDogs 4-1

BARRIE, Ont. - Zach Hall scored three times as the Barrie Colts beat the visiting Niagara IceDogs 4-1 in Ontario Hockey League action on Saturday night.

Andreas Athanasiou had the other goal for Barrie (11-3-1), which has picked up at least a point in 11 of its last 12 games, while Ryan O’Connor added a pair of assists.

Winnipeg Jets prospect Mark Scheifele also had an assist, bringing his league-leading point total to 23.

Anthony DiFruscia scored the lone goal for Niagara (9-6-1), which lost its second divisional contest in as many nights.

Mathias Niederberger turned aside 26 shots for the win as Christopher Festarini made 35 stops in a losing cause.

The Colts went 3-for-6 on the power play while the IceDogs ended the night at 0-for-4.
